Increase Traffic to your Web-site - Traffic Tips and Secrets...
"For internet users, especially those that are new to the Web, using a search engine is quite often a frustrating exercise," believes joint managing director of Cyber Pages Bryan Buswell. "A printed directory offers internet users a quick and easy-to-use alternative that delivers the information Web users need to know before they visit a site, namely the URL and a brief description of what the site offers."
The directory, which offers a range of options for advertisers from line-entries to business card adverts up to full page features, is unique in that it will be distributed free of charge to Internet public access points across the UK. Internet Cafes, University and College Learning Centres, Libraries and other public points of access to the Web will receive display boxes that carry multiple copies of the directory.
It is anticipated that these copies will be used by a large percentage of users who visit these centres, especially those that want to use the internet for a definite purpose such as looking for employment, finding out about further education, booking a holiday, checking on travel timetables etc.
"The internet is becoming a main-stream medium for access to everyday information," continues Buswell. "However, the tools available on-line to sort and retrieve that information are still catering for the first generation of Web user - technically proficient and savvy with the idiosyncrasies and generalities of the internet. The profile of the internet user is changing and Cyber Pages has been created to cater for the need for a quick, clear and easy to use directory of key sites on the Web."
Buswell also cites the 'concern' of many Web users over phone call costs and charges by Internet Service Providers as another reason why Web users are looking to access the net 'pre-armed' with the addresses of the Web pages they want to visit
"Few people like spending more money than the have to. Cyber Pages will help Internet users get the most from their time on the Net by providing the means to go directly to relevant content thus saving valuable time and money."
Simon Driscoll, a Director of Cyber Pages and CEO of Synthetic Dimensions (which holds a 60 % interest in the venture) is equally enthusiastic about the directory. "Unlike other printed web listings, Cyber Pages is not delivered to the home where it is likely to be seen and used by only a small number of people. The decision to place multiple copies of directories at places where a large number of people access the internet will result in each copy being used many hundreds of times over, giving us a greater reach for potential advertisers."
Cyber Pages will be published twice yearly and companies interested in advertising should contact: sales@thecyberpagesdirectory.co.uk or call +44 (0) 870 745 9099
