Magic and the art of making your e-mail address disappear
Many e-mail spammers send software around the internet looking for the e-mail addresses recorded on web-pages. One way to avoid them getting your address, is to use the numerical code "Unicode" in your HTML coding instead of the normal alphabetical characters.
Pick a number... any number
For instance, just by taking the letter "e" in the domain-name part of my e-mail address "robertbrady@ed-u.com" and changing it to "e" produces "robertbrady@ed-u.com".
The software will now be unable to harvest this address. However, the correct, original alphabetical e-mail address is rendered to the viewer and should work in exactly the same way.
Be sure to check that the address displays properly in your browser and the clickable e-mail link works before you publish the updated web-pages that contain it.
